“SDC’s position at the top of the regional colleges west on the U.S. News rankings is affirmation of our efforts to deliver transformative Christian education with global opportunities and lifelong friendships,” said SDC President Dr. Paul Ague. “As we look toward the future, we are enthusiastic to continue growing and strengthening our academic programs in an innovative way while upholding the mission and values of the institution.”
The U.S. News rankings are considered the most notable of the annual published college rankings. SDC’s high ranking in the regional colleges category has earned it the ability to display a U.S. News-trademarked Best Colleges badge. These badges are recognized around the world as the mark of excellence in American higher education. They are based on the oldest, most quoted, and most in-depth rankings of U.S.-based undergraduate programs.
To calculate the rankings, U.S. News uses quantitative data that assesses colleges’ performance in everything from graduation and retention rates to faculty resources, measuring up to 16 indicators of academic performance. Learn more about how U.S. News calculates rankings.
