Position Overview

The Teaching Credential Program (TCP)/Masters of Art in Teaching (MAT) Program Director & Department Chair of Education provides leadership and vision for the education and teacher credential programs at San Diego Christian College, advocating for multi-modality education opportunities while serving to further the mission of SDC. The focus of this position is to serve faculty and students who are involved with the education majors, the teacher credential program, and the Masters of Art in Teaching degree program. This Director and Chair position must enhance development and enrichment opportunities that support faculty, staff and students while leading the efforts to secure SDC’s relationship with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) (www.ctc.ca.gov). Ultimately, this position establishes structures, systems, and strategies to support SDC’s values of servant leadership, community, operating with a student-centric mindset and biblical worldview.
