The State approved Teacher Credential Program at SDCC offers an SB 2042 California Preliminary Credential for Multiple Subjects (elementary) or for Single Subjects (secondary). This is a quality program that offers small classes, individual attention and dedicated Christian professors. When all prerequisites have been met, the core credential program can be finished in less than a year. Prerequisites include ED300 - Introduction to Education, EN 316 - Linguistics, BIO 300 - Health for Teachers with CPR, SS205 - Americian Government (with Constitution), ED315 - Instructional and Educational Technology.

Interested persons who already hold a BS/BA degree may apply directly for admittance to the program. Interested students who are currently enrolled at SDCC may apply to the Teacher Credential Program during their undergraduate programs. See the following links for more information:

Grants for Teacher Credentialing:

CAL Grant - Based on grade point average and financial need.
PELL Grant - Based on need per year.
Troops to Teachers - Calling all military personnel and veterans! San Diego Christian College now participates in the Troops to Teachers program! Military personnel may qualify for $5000 to $10,000 in grants toward earning their credential.
