What do you like to do in your free time?

San Diego has awesome weather and a ton of things to do, so I really like to find new places to see around the city and to be outside as much as possible. I especially love the beach, outdoor art shows, coffee shops and hiking.

Where is your favorite place you have traveled?

I love to travel! So far my favorite has been Thailand. SDCC goes on a missions trip to work with the Karen Hill Tribes there every year, and I have been able to go 5 times with teams of staff and students. God has used those trips to change and mold me so much over the last few years, and I have gotten to build so many lasting friendships with the villagers and my SDCC teammates, including my fiancé!

What is your favorite thing about SDC?

San Diego Christian College has my heart. I love everything about it from the people to the purpose; from the laughs to the tears; from the grace to the growth; from the knowledge gained to the lessons learned. Not only am I an alumni of SDC, but I am a believer. I believe that SDC is a place where not only do our students grow in their faith, but they will have the ability to be successful in the work place. I am proud to be part of SDC!

Where is your favorite place you have traveled?

Hard question for sure. I’ve traveled plenty for my age, and each place has left an imprint in my life. However, I’d say my favorite would be Nicaragua. In 2015 I was able to go on a short-term mission trip with SDC, and though the trip was less than two weeks long, I was able to learn about the deepest parts of myself. I had to come face-to-face with everything that I am. Plus the culture was intentionally kind; they became family instantly.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about working in admissions at SDC is the relationships I get to build with students and their families. I get to spend my time guiding students along their college journey, whether that’s helping them pursue where God has called them or working with them to help uncover what their purpose is.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Living in San Diego there is a lot to do, but one of my favorite things to do in my free time is going to the beach. I love to spend as much time as I can by the ocean whether that’s an all day trip or catching the sunset after work. Another thing I love to do is explore coffee shops. I have loved coffee for as long as I can remember and I get excited when I can go to a new shop and try their drinks. Lastly you can always catch me at TJ Maxx.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy doing pretty much anything outdoors. Some of my favorite activities are rock climbing, ultimate Frisbee, and hiking. I also love trying new coffee shops and reading too.

What do you love most about your job?

I would say the thing I love most about my job is building relationships with prospective students. Hearing people’s testimonies and backgrounds always fascinates me; I love learning about where people are coming from. With that, it is also neat to be a small part of the continuation of those students’ stories.
