an Diego Christian College has resided on a shared campus with other ministries for its entire 40-year existence. Joint use of classrooms, meeting space, performance venues and recreational facilities present ever increasing challenges to the development and growth of quality academic, spiritual, social and recreational programs for SDCC’s students.
The college is facing growing pains as SDCC’s undergraduate student body has grown by 28% and the Adult & Professional Studies program has more than doubled over the last four years; SDCC’s total enrollment has increased by 54% since 2008. This campus growth has pushed on-campus housing to capacity and there is a need to find additional off-campus housing options prior to the next school year. Additionally, the increases have placed a stress on classroom and facility space. Current forecasts indicate that growth will continue provided the college has adequate facilities to meet the demand.
