SDCC HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM PROBATION
WASC Accreditation Update • November 2020
I am pleased to announce the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WASCUC) has affirmed San Diego Christian College’s commitment to accreditation and removed the probationary sanction in its letter of November 17,
2020. The College will remain on warning as it proceeds to implement its plans related to long term financial stability. Progress has been significant and was noted by the visiting team.
Our College welcomed two special visits by the WASCUC team of reviewers this September both on-site and virtually. Areas of concern were Financial Sustainability, Leadership, Assessment, and Use of Data. I am happy to report we received numerous commendations from the team on our progress in these areas. There will be another special visit in the spring of 2022 to evaluate our progress and I am confident our team will continue to implement the outlined recommendations provided. San Diego Christian College is developing a “culture of accreditation,” intentionally holding ourselves to the standards WASCUC requires.

San Diego Christian College is committed to the academic and spiritual success of our students. We welcome the expertise and experience that WASCUC provides in their visits to our campus. Their standards provide the guidance and structure our college adheres to in order to successfully serve our students, faculty, and staff.
As a Christian college, we are committed to representing Jesus Christ well through responsible stewardship, honoring the Lord with our integrity, resources, and upholding the standards outlined for higher education institutions.
With this current status, we are excited to continue the implementation of new programs to equip students as they pursue in-demand careers. Accreditation allows our students to benefit from the grants, scholarships, and aid that help make receiving a college education possible. We are proud to continue to bestow the rights and privileges of higher education degrees to current and future students.
